Pastor

The Reverend Becky Shaw Piatt has been serving Church of the Saviour since her appointment in July of 2006.  She is a fully-ordained elder in the United Methodist Church.  Becky graduated with a Master's in Theology from the Fuller Theological School in Pasadena, California in 1993 and attended The Methodist Theological School in Ohio where she completed additional graduate studies specifically related to United Methodism.  In addition to her ordained ministry, her prior work includes 12 years in youth ministry.  Raised in the shadow of the Mohican State Park, she returned to Ohio after ten years in California.  She shares her home in Westerville with her husband, Cam, and son, Caleb.

Next Generations Minister

Stephanie Myers has been working with children for 14 years.  She has worked with children of all ages as a babysitter, preschool teacher, music teacher, music assistant, tutor, mentor, and summer camp leader.  Stephanie loves to teach and share her love for Christ with everyone, but has a true passion for working with children.  She just recently received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education this June from Otterbein College and plans on furthering her education through a Master's program, or through seminary. Stephanie is the loving mother of an adorable toddler and cherishes each day with her daughter!

Music Director

Nick Poss, a native of Wisconsin, has been a graduate student at Ohio State University since 2001 where he is working on his Ph.D. in Ethnomusicology.  In 2002, he joined Church of the Saviour as accompanist and the following year he became Director of Music.  His wife, Sara, teaches German language at Licking Heights High School and frequently helps out in the music ministry.  Nick has been making music in church and playing jazz piano since 1996.

Church Administrator

Deb Gifford, following graduation from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Deb worked at a local Columbus advertising agency for a short time.  She then moved on Ross Laboratories, where she held several positions over the years, including her most recent position as Program Manager, Infant Nutritionals.  Deb retired from Ross after 27 years of service.  She has been married to her husband Michael, who is also a member of Church of the Saviour, for 4 years.  Her interests include traveling and sightseeing, camping, movies, cooking, and touring Ohio backroads on the back of her husband’s motorcycle.

Nursery Director

Janet Shown graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Finance.  She currently works full time at Nationwide as an Account Representative in the Corporate and Bank Owned Life Insurance department.  Janet is married to Jeff and has two children, Jeremy and Jessica.  Janet is a consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics, volunteers for Genoa’s PTSA, and enjoys reading and cooking.  She especially looks forward to spending time with the babies and toddlers each Sunday!
